Science & Technology Entrepreneurs’ Park, Ludhiana was basically established as a ‘Light Engineering’ Park, keeping in view the fact that, Punjab was the home to Small Scale Industries. However, the existing industry has been facing a stiff competition from the cheaper products from China, the entrepreneurial spirit and talent of the existing and prospective entrepreneurs needs to be channelized to diversify. STEP-Ludhiana has, therefore, taken the initiative to start ‘Knowledge Park and Finishing School’ to encourage the growth of Knowledge and I.T. based entrepreneurship by providing Space, Quality Power and Seamless Internet connection at very reasonable license fee. The Finishing School and Knowledge Park has been designed for a total area of more than one lac square feet out of which 8000sq.ft covered area has been constructed in the first phase. Three Startup-ventures have already started functioning.
